Founding Physician, MD, MBA
Emmy M. Graber is a practicing dermatologist and a recent graduate of the Wharton School.
As the Founder and Director of The Dermatology Institute of Boston, Dr. Graber treats a wide range of
dermatologic issues and specializes in acne and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Graber has taught resident
physicians, international physicians in-training and medical students at Boston University where she also
was Director of the BU Cosmetic and Laser Center.
Dr. Graber received her BS in Biology at The Pennsylvania State University and was a member of the
Schreyer Honors College. She also completed her medical training at The Pennsylvania State University
and graduated with membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After an internship in
Internal Medicine, she underwent Dermatology residency training at The Pennsylvania State
University/Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. During this time she received the Intern Of The Year
Award and was selected by her peers for a Humanism and Excellence In Teaching Award.
residency training, Dr. Graber further specialized with fellowship training in Laser and Cosmetic Surgery
at SkinCare Physicians of Chestnut Hill. She then practiced dermatology with that group for two years
prior to working at Boston University. In 2014 Dr. Graber completed her MBA at the University of
Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
Dr. Graber has academic interests in acne, acne scars and cosmetic dermatology and has lectured and
written extensively on these subjects in scientific journals. Additionally, she is frequently cited in the
media as an authority in dermatology. Dr. Graber is a regular contributor on national public radio (NPR)
and her expert opinions can be seen in O Magazine, InStyle Magazine, and Good Housekeeping
Magazine amongst other national media sources.
Lisa R. Statz is a certified Physician Assistant (PA) with a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Northeastern University. While in PA school, Lisa trained at Boston's world-renowned academic medical centers including Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Lisa joined The Dermatology Institute of Boston in 2016, where she is a valued member of our clinical team. She sees patients for general dermatology, cosmetic and laser treatments.
Lisa specializes in treating patients with acne and is a registered iPLEDGE™ provider. Other special interests include: early detection of skin cancer and skin cancer prevention, eczema, and patch testing for allergic contact dermatitis.
Lisa is also a Certified Coolsculpting® Provider and a trained Vi Peel® practitioner.
Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Lisa worked extensively in the health care industry both in business at Johnson & Johnson, as well as, at Massachusetts Eye Research & Surgery Institute. Lisa has a proven track record of leadership skills and community outreach. Additionally, she brings experience assisting in clinical trials & serving as an uncompromising patient advocate.

Deyne Munavalli, a senior level medical office executive with over 15 years experience in the field. With her knowledge of business development, and corporate design, she brings a wealth of leadership, political adeptness, and business acumen as the Executive Director of The Dermatology Institute of Boston.
From her background and experience in trauma social work paralleled with philanthropic advocacy, a top honor graduate of Kennesaw University, her career has been underpinned by a committed contribution to numerous executive roles across the country. She has successfully consulted and advised in several start up medical offices and has vast experience working with physicians and staff in practice enhancement. In her previous positions, Deyne served as Director for an Orthopedic Surgeon in California and Executive Administrator of a multi physician Dermatology, Laser and Vein practice in North Carolina.
